Free uptime checker
Whether your site is answering right now. You need: a page address. About ten seconds.
Your result will show here.
Want us to fix this?
A result is only useful when something changes. We can take the on-page and technical fixes off your list, show you each change first, and send a plain monthly report.
What the uptime checker does
The uptime checker answers a simple question: is your website up right now? It makes one visit to the address you give, the way a customer’s browser would, and reports what came back. You see whether the page answered, the status code, how long it took, whether the address is served over https, and, when it can be read, how many days are left on the security certificate. It is a single check taken at this moment. It does not watch your site over time.
What you see in the result
- Whether the page answered, and with which status code
- How long the answer took, in milliseconds
- Whether the address is secure (https) and how many days the certificate has left
- How many redirects the visit passed through before the page loaded
Why it matters for a local business
A site that is down, slow or showing a security warning loses customers quietly. Nobody tells you; they just go to the next business. Expired certificates are a common cause, because they run out on one date and nobody remembers to renew them. A quick check when something feels wrong, or after a change by a developer or host, tells you at once whether the problem is on your side. It also gives you something concrete to show your host.
How to get the most from it
You need: a page address. Time: about ten seconds.
- Check the address customers actually use, such as your home page and your main service page.
- If the result shows an error, run it again after a minute, since brief outages happen.
- Note the certificate days. If it is low, ask whoever manages your site to renew it now.
What it does not do
This is one check, not monitoring. It does not alert you or keep a history. A page that answers once may still fail at other times, and a site can be fine for us and slow for someone far away. For ongoing alerts, ask us about site monitoring.
Questions
Is this the same as monitoring?
No. It is one visit at this moment. Monitoring checks again and again and tells you when something changes.
Why does it say my site is not answering?
The address may be wrong, the site may be down, or the certificate may have failed. The result names which one it saw.
Does it follow redirects?
Yes, up to ten, and it shows how many it passed through. A long chain slows the page.
Is the uptime checker free?
Yes. You get 3 free checks a day with no sign-up. A repeat of the same check within a day is not counted.
What do you do with my details?
We use them only to run the check and send what you asked for. No list selling, and you can unsubscribe any time.
