What the keyword ideas tool does

The keyword ideas tool shows how many people search for phrases around a service. Enter a service, such as “water heater repair”, and optionally a city. The tool tries common ways customers word that search, such as “near me”, “cost” and “emergency”, and asks Google’s Keyword Planner how often each is searched in a month. You see the best few as ranges, and you can ask for the full list by email. The ranges are deliberately broad, because that is what the free source gives.

What you see in the result

  • Phrases customers use for your service, with and without your city
  • A monthly search range for each phrase, such as 100 to 1,000
  • A short summary of the most searched phrase
  • How many more phrases are in the full list that we can email you

Why it matters for a local business

Pages that match the words customers actually type are easier to find. A range tells you which phrases matter most without pretending to be exact. If “water heater repair cost” is searched far more than “water heater repair company”, that is a hint about which page to write first and which question to answer. It saves guessing, and it shows whether a town name is worth including in a title.

How to get the most from it

You need: a service and, if you like, a city. Time: about ten seconds.

  1. Start with the service you most want more calls for, using the wording customers use.
  2. Add your main city to see which local phrases have the most searches.
  3. Give each popular phrase that matches a real service its own page, written for that search.

What it does not do

The numbers are ranges, never exact, and they show how many people search, not how hard it is to appear. Some phrases have no data and are left out. The tool runs only when its data source is connected, so it may be unavailable at times.

Questions

Why are the numbers ranges?

The free source from Google gives broad ranges rather than exact counts. We show the range and never invent a precise number.

Does this show how hard a keyword is?

No. It shows how many people search, not how hard it is to appear. Difficulty scores are guesses from third parties, so we leave them out.

What do I get by email?

The full list of phrases and their ranges, sent after you confirm your address. We use your address only for that, and only send follow-up tips if you say yes.

Is the keyword ideas tool free?

Yes. You get 3 free checks a day with no sign-up. A repeat of the same check within a day is not counted.

What do you do with my details?

We use them only to run the check and send what you asked for. No list selling, and you can unsubscribe any time.
