What the review score checker does

Reviews decide a lot of choices before anyone picks up the phone. The review score checker looks at your public reviews and reports your rating, how many you have, how recent they are and how many are still waiting for a reply. It then shows how that compares with a few nearby competitors, so you can see whether your reviews help you or hold you back, and what a realistic goal looks like.

What you see in the result

  • Your average rating and total number of reviews
  • How recent your reviews are, since old ones count for less
  • The number of reviews that have no reply from you
  • How your rating and count compare with nearby competitors

Why it matters for a local business

A customer comparing three plumbers will usually favour the one with more recent, well-answered reviews. A rating of 4.8 from 12 reviews can look weaker than 4.6 from 200. Replies matter too, because they show new customers how you treat people when something goes wrong. Knowing your numbers makes it clear whether you need more reviews, more replies, or both.

How to get the most from it

You need: your business name and city. Time: about a minute.

  1. Ask every happy customer, the same way each time, while the job is fresh in their mind.
  2. Reply to every review, short and polite, including the negative ones.
  3. Aim for a steady trickle each month rather than a burst, which looks more natural.

What it does not do

It reads public reviews only and does not judge their content. Never buy reviews or ask for only positive ones, since that breaks the platform’s rules. Run it again every month or two to see whether your numbers are moving in the right direction.

Questions

How many reviews do I need?

There is no magic number. Aim to match or pass the competitors who show above you, and keep adding steadily.

Should I reply to bad reviews?

Yes. A calm, specific reply shows future customers how you handle problems.

Can you help me get more reviews?

Yes. Our reviews service sends a polite request after each job and drafts replies for your approval.

Is the review score checker free?

Yes. You see your result without signing up. If you want the full report by email, you can ask for it.

What do you do with my details?

We use them only to run the check and send what you asked for. No list selling, and you can unsubscribe any time.
