What is review score?
Your average star rating together with how many reviews you have and how recent they are.
The plain definition
A review score is the average star rating customers give your business, usually seen next to the number of reviews. On Google it appears on your profile and in map results. Customers read the rating, the count, how recent the reviews are and how you reply.
An example
Two electricians both show 4.7 stars. One has 15 reviews, the last one two years ago. The other has 180 reviews, with several in the last month and polite replies to every one. Most customers will trust the second more.
Why it matters for a local business
Reviews help people choose you and are widely thought to support local visibility. Ask every satisfied customer in the same simple way, reply to all reviews, including the bad ones, and never buy or fake them, which breaks platform rules and damages trust.
