What is Google Business Profile?

The plain definition

Google Business Profile is the free listing that shows your business on Google Search and Google Maps. It holds your name, address, phone number, hours, services, photos, posts and reviews. Customers often see it before your website, and many call or ask for directions straight from it.

An example

Someone searches “dentist near me” and sees three businesses on a map with ratings and a Call button. The ones with complete hours, recent photos and many fresh reviews are easier to choose. A profile with the wrong hours may send a customer to a closed door.

Why it matters for a local business
